'Raha' here means a life free from fear, persecution and social injustice.
When we first felt the need to bring the refugee community together, we were shocked to find out that 26 million people fled their homes at the end of 2019. Now, UNHCR claims that this number has quadrupled to a staggering 100 million. Without a doubt, the current crisis of Iran and Afghanistan has and will continue to contribute to this number.
Witnessing the unfolding brutality of radical regimes against the Farsi speaking population made us come together and unite for refugee rights that are at the highest stake for the community.
In a world where terrorists and their families resort to the freedom of democratic countries while freedom fighters are persecuted, we aim to amplify the voices of those who fled and advocate for the balance of justice.
